About Us

The Old Vero Ice Age Sites Committee (OVIASC) is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in Indian River County in 2010 to:                                                                                                                

• Educate the public about the importance and significance of the Ice Age sites in Indian River County.

• Coordinate the scientific excavation and study of these sites by creating projects in Community Archaeology.

• Raise the funds needed for these projects.

• Create a permanent exhibit to showcase discoveries made here.
